We are off tomorrow! We’re heading to Florida for some Disney fun and then on to Hilton Head to recover on the beach. I’ll be checking emails and voicemail periodically but response time might be a bit slower. I’ll try to update the blog with a few of our adventures. The kids could not fall asleep tonight, they are so excited! I think I may be even more excited than them

A little R&R – Out of office
Miss S turns one!
I’ve had the honor of watching this little one grow from just 5 days old. She’s just a doll and we had the perfect Spring day for her session today. She’s not quite walking yet but we caught her a few times showing off her stuff.

and her cousin was visiting. I took one look at those eyes and all I could say was “wow”.

Thanks M family!
A wedding weekend
Kids are my passion so I don’t typically do a lot of weddings but a very talented photographer friend of mine, Melanie Reyes from Michigan was shooting a wedding in St Paul this last weekend and asked if I’d like to second for her. She described what a fun couple they were and I just couldn’t say no. We had a blast! This couple was an absolute joy, so full of life and love.
The gorgeous bride

the shoes…so cute

and the bride was all for some fun artistic shots

and this is the exact place he proposed…

Thanks again Melanie and thanks J and A for including me in your amazing day! You both are beautiful inside and out. Best wishes to you!
Wall Galleries – Part I
Just thought I’d share a quick wall gallery. Often it’s MUCH easier to visualize your portraits when laid out in a wall gallery that fits your space. This urban session had a lot of really fun colors so seeing it come together was really fun! Hummm….maybe printed on metallic paper?? Oh, the possibilities!

11 day old R
I have had a long run of girl newborns, last count I believe I was over 10 in a row but today I had the pleasure of photographing my first boy in a while! And seriously, how handsome is little R…just a sweetheart. Just one for now. It was great meeting you M family today!

Watching them grow – Little L and family
Happy 1st birthday little L! This was L’s last session on the watch me grow plan. It’s always so much fun to see how much they change in such a short period of time. It seems like yesterday I was doing his newborn pictures. It has truly been an honor to be chosen to capture his first year, mom and dad couldn’t be nicer and big brother C couldn’t be more handsome.
For L’s year session, we headed to an area close to their home for an urban session. We had done his 6 month session in the fall with all that gorgeous fall foliage so we went the other direction to give his year session a completely unique look.
Check out his cowboy boots! His dad bought them for him…how adorable are they!

And big brother C…I’m so jealous of his hair, gorgeous.

and as we heading back, we spotted this red wall. So fun!

It was wonderful seeing you again!
