My Girl

A few nights ago, I did a session just for Lindsey (no brothers allowed!). It was officially her 5 year session even though her birthday was in January. This is such a big time in a little girl’s life. So while most of our sessions include all three kids, this one was all about her. It was about what she loves…anything fairies (she even got to pick out her fairy outfit herself) and it was all about capturing her exactly as she is. I love this age. There are images where I see the little girl she was and still is. In other images I see the girl she is becoming. She is starting kindergarten in a few weeks, which is a huge step. And those front teeth, they’ll be gone in less than a month changing her smile forever. She’s growing up. I’m making her very own album of the session, for her to have as a keepsake to mark this milestone and for me too. The day will come when she’ll be too “old” for fairies and maybe even dresses. But for now, I’m cherishing this time. I can’t wait to watch her confidence and independence soar as she learns the ropes as a big kid at school…and then part of me wants her to be my little girl forever. I so love this girl.

The S Family – Minnesota Family Photographer

This family has been on the blog before, they have the most beautiful home and grounds…a photographer’s dream. Then Mrs S mentioned a couple old junk cars in the neighbors field…yep, I was all over that. Nevermind the hundreds of mosquitos and oh, that wasp’s nest. These guys were troupers.

Near and Dear – Minneapolis Children’s Photography

You’ve seen this group before which my sister affectionately calls her “herd”. We did their annual session which is always so fun for me. We decided to do more of an urban feel this time around and I love how they turned out.

Miss P at 2 1/2

It’s been so fun watching Miss P grow! She’s a very active 2 year old now (as many are at this age) but it’s also one of the reasons I love this age. Miss P loved to explore and loved nature.

Beautiful Sisters – Eagan Child Newborn Photographer

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We’re back from vacation and back in the swing of things. We went to my husbands 20th high school reunion, can’t believe I’m saying that…well, I guess it wasn’t mine but I’m not far behind. Combined it with a trip to the Black Hills which was so fun, love it there!

First session back I got to spend with these two beautiful sisters. Miss A at just 7 days. She looks so much like her big sister as a baby.

and big sister J. She’s been featured on the blog a few times now. She looks so grown up even at 2, seems like yesterday I was taking her newborn portraits.
